Allen/AEI 2812.5 KVA Diesel
Electric generating set

Engine

Allen model 16VBCS37E. “Vee” formation, 16 cylinder, turbo-charged and after cooled, air start, water cooled diesel engine producing 3200 bhp at 600rpm. Engine is fitted with engine driven water pumps, lube oil pumps and Woodward UG8 dial type governor. Unit is direct coupled to:-

Alternator

AEI type AD63/45 producing 2812.5 KVA/2250 KW, 6300 volts, 0.8 power factor, 50 Hz at 600rpm.

Mounting

Engine, alternator, starting air receiver and 2 x compressors (1 x electric and 1 x air start) a 11 mounted on common fabricated steel skid base. Skid base has metalistic type anti-vibration mountings incorporated.

Cooling

By free standing remote, horizontal type, 3 x sectioned radiators with electric motor driven cooling fans.

Switch gear

Unit comes complete with engine monitoring panel. Neutral earthing resistor is also available at client’s request.

General observations

This set was previously installed in a U.K. factory for standby purposes and in recent times has only run on a periodic basis for a lube oil circulation having only 5,600 running hours.

Cooling

By heat exchanger.

Mounting

Engine and alternator both mounted into solid concrete foundations.

Switch gear
A compliment of switch gear including H.V. circuit breakers is available.

 

440 KVA GM / Markon Diesel Electric Generating Set

Engine manufactured in 1974 by GM Detroit. Model number 16V71. Turbo charged V16 engine.

Alternator manufactured 1974 by Markon. Model number B654B. 440 KVA, 415 volts, 0.8 power factor, 813 amps, 50 Hz, 1500 rpm continuous rating.

Unit is supplied with radiator cooling.

Set has base mounted fuel tanks.

Hours run 1198. Year of commissioning 1974. Unit is in very good condition.

Unit is mounted in sound attenuated / acoustically lined 20 ft. ISO container complete with roof mounted exhaust silencer.

 

400 KVA GM / Indar Diesel Electric Generating Set

Engine manufactured in 1977 by GM Detroit. Model number 16V71. Turbo charged V16 engine.

Alternator manufactured 1977 by Indar. Model number 400/4. 400 KVA, 415/240 volts, 0.8 power factor, 813 amps, 50 Hz, 1500 rpm continuous rating.

Unit is supplied with radiator cooling.

Set has base mounted fuel tanks.

Hours run 325. Year of commissioning 1977. Unit is in very good condition.

Unit is mounted in sound attenuated / acoustically lined 20 ft. ISO container complete with roof mounted exhaust silencer.
